Happy 7 Months!

Celebrating 7 months on earth with all of my favorite activities:

chomping into some Cheerios with my TWO teeth,

chewing on mom's discarded pizza crusts,

rolling around like a crazy man on my blankies,

hanging out with my favorite dude (yes, myself!),

bringing the heat with my sartorial game,

and generally being an awesome little dude!

It Has Begun

Look who's kicking off #StephensonFest!

My dad is currently visiting, then my sister comes and then my mom rounds out the month.
There will be a Stephenson bunking in our apt 20 of the next 27 days.
Family bonding woohoo! Sorry DVC.

Grandad arrived on Saturday for a week-long visit.

Boy are we taking advantage of the extra hands with an excessive amount of swing time!

30 Weeks Old

Dexterity improving by the minute! Newest skill is holding objects in his hand and turning his wrist back and forth to examine the item in his grasp from all angles, astonished every time that things are actually three dimensional. Loves to drop things then look up in excitement when we exclaim UH-OH! and of course have us repeatedly retrieve said dropped items. Super fun game. Especially during dinnertime.

Of course, reading is also a favorite activity. Especially in the buff.

Sometimes we even refrain from eating the books!

New foods tasted: bagel and cream cheese, asparagus, pizza crust, hummus, Cheerios,
none of which earned the dreaded avocado face!

Except for yogurt.

Not a fan.

29 Weeks Old

Another week older, a new set of skills. Rolling with ease from front to back, back to front, right to left, left to right, from the blanket onto the rug onto the hardwood! Boy is this kid wiggly. Not quite crawling yet, but trying out new moves every day and certainly getting more mobile as he shimmies himself around to explore every inch of his play space and try to figure out how to coordinate the crawling motions.

Started wearing his big boy pig pajamas over the weekend! Elaine got these for us in Cape May last year and Elliot has the same ones - can't wait to be twins on vacation in August! (Just hope they still fit by then.)

Loves being outside, especially now that it's warm enough to go sockless! Also loves weekends when both mom and dad are home to feed/bathe/cuddle/entertain him simultaneously. Satisfied with the attention of one parent while both are at home?! Not a chance. It's family time!

Got together with our friend Frasier and his mom Andrea at the park this week. Frasier is just a week older than G, we met him and his mom back in December at a breastfeeding class. She and I have stayed friends and she recently started an informal music class at the park, which is super fun though half the time we end up just chatting and letting the babies play.  This week, Frasier really wanted to touch Graham, kept reaching for him and swatting at him. Meanwhile G just wanted the ball. Babies be babies.

Bath is still our favorite time of day. This kid would soak until his toes wrinkled right off if we let him.
