Tummy Time

IT'S MOVING DAY!!  We're a little busy schlepping our junk across town,
so here are some pics of tummy time instead.

It's very hard work, as you can see.

It's too much! I give up.

FINALLY!

In some non-baby news... WE FOUND AN APARTMENT!!!

Feels as though we've been looking for SO LONG (we started before Graham was even born) and the search was starting to feel a little desperate. Finally FINALLY we've got something locked down and it feels fantastic. Last week while my fam was here, they stayed in to babysit while D and I went out to look at some places. After seeing two terrible horrible no good very bad apartments, we had an hour to kill before our next appointment to view another so decided to just pop in to a few of the larger buildings in the neighborhood where we were and see if anyone in the leasing offices were available. It just so happened there was one gentleman working and he just so happened to have one apartment to show us and it just so happened to be absolutely perfect for us. We really lucked out how everything fell into place, as we were able to arrange the move for just two weeks later - this Saturday, eek!

So now it's a scramble to get packed in time!

Movers are showing up at 9am this Saturday, we've got to be ready to go by Friday night.

I can tell you who hasn't been packing any of his own stuff...

That Paddington, what a slacker.

15 Weeks Old

GUESS WHO CUT HIS FIRST TOOTH LAST WEEK?!  Growing up so fast.

Week 15 brings lots of big boy activities - absolutely loving his bumbo seat.

And sitting up "on his own" in the rocking chair.

Starting to hate tummy time slightly less, but don't be fooled -
this grin lasted only a few moments before he screeched "Maaaa, get me offa this mat!"

His sweet smiles are getting so big and so enthusiastic, they absolutely melt my heart.
Still waiting on a real laugh, but from this grin it looks like it could be any moment!

I read something today that really struck me - at this time last year, I was three weeks pregnant! So technically Graham has been with us for over a year. Isn't that crazy? Though things have been rougher than I care to admit at times over the past three months, Graham has been such a perfect addition to our family. We didn't even know we were missing him (remember when everyone thought we were having a girl?), and now I can't imagine not having him here with us. He has made us even more of a family.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Made the trek over to the Upper West Side to visit the famed (Tom's) Restaurant from Seinfeld!

Took the requisite snapshots outside then headed in for a cup of coffee and a snack. Graham was delightfully well-behaved (some folks at a table nearby even commented!) and our sandwiches were surprisingly delicious (someone had told me the food here wasn't great - WRONG!). Dad even got a biiiiiig salad.

Adventures continue tomorrow with a visit to the museum planned and possibly Cafe Lalo as well!

CA Invasion!

Jamma, Grandad and Tante Leigh Leigh all visiting NYC this week - so many people to help with the diaper changes! What a lucky little dude. Mom is grateful for the helping hands (and opportunity to nap), as well!

Unlucky for them though, it's been freeeeezing this week. Significantly below freezing, actually. Poor Californians have been blasted with frigid temps all week and it's kept us from doing too much exploring. We did manage to make it over to the park and up to the reservoir yesterday, though, and it was beautiful!

Mostly we've been holed up indoors, ordering delivery and playing boardgames.

Graham already knows who to go to for the treats.

Tsk tsk.
