Nudie on the loose

This kid loooooves him some lotion time.

Neeeeeeeeeepomo (like the Ricola ad!)

So much fun this week in Nipomo! Visited every beach along the central coast, spent some time in Grandma's classroom showing the seventh graders what's up, ate at all my mom's favorite hometown joints, showed off for my fam by sleeping pretty well and performing a few new tricks. Here are a few of the highlights.

Twinning with Grandad over breakfast sudoku

Playtime in my favorite bib with Jamma.

Beach volleyball practice with Coach Leigh. Not so sure about this sun and sand business.

A trip to Wolff Vineyards to pick up a special vintage for a friend back home.

Tried out my brand new swing!

Breakfast burritos at Cowgirl Cafe.

More California fun to come, but we just got back to NYC (I was an angel on the plane, FYI) and my mom is dead tired so we're all hitting the sack and will do some more bloggin' tomorrow!

Beverly Hills, What a Thrill

Originally we were going to stay with some friends in LA our first evening in California, but when that fell through we contacted my dear friend Nicole who works at a fancy Beverly Hills boutique hotel, much nicer than the sort of place we would normally stay. Not only did she hook us up with a room at the last minute, but when we arrived we had been upgraded (apparently three times, they were keen to inform us) to the Presidential Platinum Perfection Suite (ok, that might not be the exact name, but it feels pretty accurate). An employee actually escorted us up to our room and gave us a complete tour before turning over the key. Très chic.

Walking in, our jaws dropped. The insanely luxurious suite was larger than our entire apartment back home:
two bathrooms! multiple walk-in closets!
a balcony off of each room!
full sized kitchen! six thousand thread count sheets!

Graham didn't know what to do with himself with all that space.

Nor those silky sheets.

The views from the rooftop deck and our balconies were gorgeous.

D enjoyed taking his coffee alfresco every morning while surveying the property.

Thank you Nicole for a superb stay, introducing G to a lifestyle he never knew he was missing and also for babysitting while we got ready for the wedding! Truly above and beyond. You're the best!

This little guy is eager to come back and visit you!

JFK / LAX

Popped out to California last Friday for a week in the sunshine.

Who enjoys airport security this much?

Less than thrilled, however, with the airplane bathroom.

Remained surprisingly calm in his seat for the majority of the flight. Lucky us!

Don't tell me you charge for peanuts now. Jet set baby is not impressed.

18 Weeks Old

Spending his 18 week bday in California - in 95 degree weather!
Legs uncovered during walks outside?! Quite a shocker for this winter baby.

Alllllmost rolling over, more vocal than ever and recently discovered his toes. OB-sessed.

Finally has the neck strength to face forward in his carrier and absolutely LOVES it.

Also loves taking selfies. 4 months going on 14 years.
