6 Months + Happy Mothers Day!

Kind of funny that Mother's Day and Graham's six month birthday fall on the same day. Six months ago today this sweet little devil thrust me into a completely new life, one that I had no idea I was so unprepared for, but at the same time it somehow seems like he's always been a part of this family and I've always been his mom.

Looking back at just how tiny he was coming home from the hospital is crazy, especially now that he's clocking in at nearly 20 lbs. So much has happened in these past six months - we've visited grandparents in a variety of states, flown cross-country multiple times, survived our first winter as a family of three, maintained old traditions and started some new ones, and learned to see our own parents in a new light. I've learned more than I thought possible and have realized that a good majority of the time parenthood is simply winging it, hoping for the best, and trying to maintain your sense of humor.

"Do the best you can until you know better.
Then when you know better, do better."
-Maya Angelou

You inspire me to be better, Graham. I love you dearly and adore watching you grow.

Wishing happy, hug-filled days to all of the mothering women in my life. I am lucky to be surrounded by warm, creative, strong women. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do to make my life wonderful.

Especially grateful for my greatest teacher and cheapest therapist.

I love you and appreciate you more than you know (because I certainly don't say it enough).

P.S. And a very happy birthday to my fabulous Yerma-in-law, Leslie!!
