From Bryant Park to Lord&Taylor

Had to take to take mom by one of my favorite spots in the city - Bryant Park and the New York Public Library!  Yes, I know I use the word "favorite" liberally, but there are so many wonderful spots in this city. This is the site of free Saturday fly fishing lessons, Carrie and Big's wedding gone terribly wrong, the world's largest adult musical chairs competition and life-sized, interactive exhibits of rooms from famous children's books (Goodnight Moon, Where the Wild Things Are, etc.).

The front steps of the library face Fifth Avenue, running the length of two blocks between 40th and 42nd. Bryant Park lies directly behind, filling up the block all the way to 6th Ave.  There's a great cafe behind the library which stays open super late, and the park is always full of people no matter what time of day or night.

Once we'd had our fill of culture and people watching, it was off to Lord & Taylor to do some damage.

We managed to do some excellent work - perfect M.O.B. dress found for January!!

Random snap while walking down the street - Dad, took this one for you!

Quick pic in Grand Central before hopping our train home.

And a sneak peak at tomorrow!
